The Black Kalamon type of Greek olives are a type of table olives renowned for their characteristic taste and sought after worldwide as a delicious starter!
The variety is named after the ancient Greek city of Kalamata in the southern Peloponnese.
It has a dark purple colour and a smooth meaty texture.
Kalamon olives must be hand picked to avoid bruising.
The Green Halkidiki olives from the northern region of Greece have a unique bitter peppery flavour and are often mixed with herbs and spices to create awesome cocktail varieties. Mixed with the Kalamon, they make an excellent starter dish served just with a dash of olive oil.
We pack our freshly picked olives whole in brine and vacuum sealed. This is the best way to preserve olives.
